Sam's story...

I joined Savers as a retail trainee, as part of work experience – through my hard work, determination and training, I am now the Store Manager of Colliers Row in London, a new store in 2018 for Savers. I am immensely proud of my achievement. Career opportunities and stories like mine are not uncommon at Savers – you just need a positive attitude; willingness to learn and work hard.

People Development

We use a blend of online training, regional workshops and in store coaching and training to support you through your induction and beyond!

Savers passport programme will help you and your Line Manager track your progress and formulate your Personal Development Plan – to support you in achieving your goals!

Our retail training includes robust induction training, introducing you to all you need to know to be a success in your role. Beyond your induction, our product knowledge training will help you to provide excellent customer service in our stores. As you progress within the business our development programmes will help you to maximise your personal effectiveness by introducing you to Leadership and Coaching models such as GROW and Situational Leadership. We will stretch and challenge you and increase your self-awareness of your strengths and development needs – and then help you to find solutions to support those development needs.

If you are looking to progress, Savers is the ideal choice for you! We have people who have progressed in all areas of our business; in head office and in store as well as field roles such as audit and security, Area Managers and even Regional Operational Managers! The sky is the limit with us.
