To support the continuing growth of the company, you will lead and support a team of 2 analysts to deliver accurate and timely reporting and analysis to the business. You will be required to interrogate and drive understanding of key cost areas helping the business deliver targeted cost savings and efficiencies. To achieve this, you will need to collaborate with both wider finance and operational teams across the group to ensure that objectives are met.
The key stakeholders of this role are the Retail Director, Property Director, Senior Executive team, the Operations and Regional teams so you will need confidence and gravitas to provide creditable support. Equally important is your ability to guide and support both your direct team and the wider Retail Finance Team building an environment for development and learning.
Support, manage and develop a team of 2 analysts whose accountabilities cover property, variable, controllable and central costs.
Business Partner the Property and Retail Directors becoming a trusted aid and ‘go-to’ person for finance information and analysis.
Process improvements - deliver continual projects as given to you, ensuring that you understand the end to end process, improving and providing efficiencies and greater understanding along the way. Examples of projects include repairs and maintenance, utilities, store efficiencies.
Ensure compliance with all group reporting standards including audit, process control and systems updates.
Support the Operations efficiency manager with required data, analysis and forecasting to maximise cost savings to the business
Provide the Executive team and business with regular and insightful reporting and forecasting of sales in the business
Ensuring that the growing estate is accounted for correctly within the P&L within your area of responsibility
You will have full accountability for budgeting and forecasting in your area of accountability
Other analysis and reporting as required by business needs
You need to learn fast – every individual has a contribution to the performance of the business
Previous experience of stepping into an existing team with management responsibility and hitting the ground running.
Experience at managing and developing teams

Education and background
Retail FMCG experience preferred
Strong Excel (VBA ideal)
Previous experience with Oracle Financials and SAP Business Objects
Proven Leadership experience
